How much time do you need to create the quilt?

This spring, I take part again in a patchwork course of Mrs. Anna Sedlmeier at the  VHS-Weißenburg.
On 26th  February was the first meeting, where Mrs. Anna Sedlmeier has shown various examples.
I have decided to sew this Quilt:
                 
A few days later I was on the phone with a colleague in California, and tells of my new patchwork projects because she has previously also sewn. After the conversation, I sent the photo. In response, the question came back:

How much time do you need to create this quilt?

I confess I had not thought about it, as it is a hobby (and time does not matter).
But the question has the project manager suggested something in me.So I have divided the project into smaller parts:
1.        Planning - Which Quilt I want to sew - What I have to shop for and prepare.
2.        Shopping - where can I get the needed fabrics
3.        Washing the material - before processing the fabrics it needs to be washed. As it is not certain whether the fabrics lose colour it is to be washed separated by color.
4.        Drying of fabrics.
5.        Ironing of fabrics. -
6.        Prepare for the Course
7.        Cutting, sewing, ironing at the Course
8.        Homework (Cutting, sewing, ironing)
9.        Cutting, sewing, ironing at the Course
10.        Homework (Cutting, sewing, ironing)

Timing in Detail

1.        Planning - I had short conversation with Brigitte [no time needed]
2.        Shopping - where can I get the needed fabrics
   a) the  white and the black fabric I got at IKEA Fürth (3 Euro/m).
b) the other fabrics I found at  Buttinette. [time needed 2h]
3.        Washing the material -
a) yellow and orange,
b) light-, middle- and darkred,
c) light-, middle- and darkgreen,
d) black and
e) white  [time needed 25 min] .
4.        Drying of fabrics. [time needed 25 min]
             
5.        Ironing of fabrics. - [time needed 30 min]

6.        Prepare for the Course [time needed 20 min]
Unbelievable: I have 4 h needed?
7.        Cutting, sewing, ironing at the Course  [time needed 3h]
8.        Homework (Cutting, sewing, ironing)  [time needed 3h]

Result? [actual estimate: 16h]
